Get to know Newcastle better with Parakeat and Tipll

One of our aims of Newcastle Startup Week is to show people what a beautiful, fun and cool city Newcastle upon Tyne is to live and work so they fall in love with the place and never want to leave.

If you’ve not been before, you’re in for a real treat as the stunning architecture, castle, bridges and Quayside along the River Tyne provides a wonderfully inspiring playground that is both historically significant yet modern and forward thinking too. Not only that but the people are warm and friendly and there’s an abundance of fantastic independent coffee shops, bars and restaurants, alongside the more familiar high street chains.

Even if you live in Newcastle or the wider North East of England, we want to remind you what a great place this is by taking you to places you might not have been before on each of the days and nights between 15-19 May.

To help us do this, we’re delighted to be partnering with two exciting local startups, Parakeat and Tipll, which are being specifically built to promote local, independent coffee shops, eateries, bars and pubs in the city.

We’ll be actively encouraging everyone who attends Newcastle Startup Week to use both apps when they’re here but even if you’re not attending or can’t wait until May, please sign up for updates by clicking on the images below:
