Important update about TRYBES / Newcastle Startup Week

Over the past 10 months, my TRYBES co-founders & I have had many positive conversations with potential users, partners, funders & investors who have all said they would love to use our ‘data-driven signposting & matchmaking platform for startup communities’ & can see huge potential in what we are proposing.

However, the message is clear that the real value is in the community, network, audience & digital assets I have already built around my annual 5-day Newcastle Startup Week festival since 2017.

We have therefore decided to stop working on TRYBES together & I am re-focusing all my efforts on my existing Startup Week Community & related activities. This means:

For startup founders / small business owners

Most of the things I wanted to do with TRYBES for founders / small business owners, I am already doing through my online ‘Startup Week Community‘, albeit on a manual basis.

(You can see the benefits of joining & become a ‘Lifetime Member’ for a one-off fee of just £75, or just £60 if you buy a ‘Group Membership’ for 5 or more people, at https://newcastlestartupweek.com/community/).

For funders / investors / business support organisations / professional services / accelerators / co-working spaces

Some of the things I wanted to do with TRYBES for funders, investors, business support organisations, professional services companies, accelerator programmes & co-working spaces who are looking for businesses that fit their criteria can either be done via my online Startup Week Community or with the Beauhurst platform.

In their own words, ‘Beauhurst is an intuitive data platform that allows you to explore 30,000 of the UK’s most ambitious companies & the ecosystem around them. They help thousands of analysts, investors, strategists & business development experts to understand the landscape & find the companies that matter to them’.

With this in mind, I have recently started working with the Beauhurst team as a referral partner / introducer so if you haven’t already seen how powerful their platform is & would like to be given a 30-40 min demo, just register your interest via the short form below & I’ll put you in touch with the team to arrange a convenient time.

Register your interest in a demo of Beauhurst

In the meantime, thank you for showing an interest in TRYBES & if you have any questions, comments or feedback about the information above, please just email me at paul@newcastlestartupweek.com
