2019 Day 3

‘Funding & Finance’

Wednesday 15th May 2019

8am-11am [FRINGE EVENT] FinTech North Newcastle Forum @ UNW LLP, Citygate, St James’ Boulevard

FinTech North returns to Newcastle for their latest seminar, which is a fringe event as part of our Newcastle Startup Week festival. Join them for a breakfast seminar with a range of speakers including Paid who are a north east based FinTech and one of only 10 UK FinTech companies who have been going through the Barclays Techstars accelerator programme in recent months.

Please note this is a free event being run independently of, but in association with Newcastle Startup Week. Find out more & book your ticket here.

9am-12pm [FRINGE EVENT] @ NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator Hub, 1 Trinity Gardens, Quayside

Prior to the main ‘Funding & Finance’ event later in the day, you’ll have the chance to visit the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator Hub on the Quayside where the team will share some of the key content they use to accelerate businesses from startup to scaleup. These sessions are designed to help you and your business, whether you are looking to validate an idea or are wanting to take your business to the next level.

Melissa Beckett, Laura Mason & Adam Barrass will introduce you to some key tools and concepts essential to any business leader or entrepreneur. You’ll also get to hear from some current entrepreneurs on the Accelerator programme. Come along for coffee and a croissant, find out more about the fully-funded programme & meet the local team who are making a huge impact to the North East business community.

9.30am-12pm [FRINGE EVENT] @ The Forge Newcastle

Want to make presentations like the speakers you’re seeing at Newcastle Startup Week? Let’s face it, if you can’t tell people effectively about your business idea you can’t get funding; or sell anything; or… In short, if you can’t explain it, you’re in trouble!

This in-depth training session will build on Simon Raybould‘s ‘Presentation Genius Blast’ talk on Day 2. (You don’t have to have been to his session but it’ll help if you have)!

Please note: this event is not included in the price of your Newcastle Startup Week ticket / wristband so you must purchase an additional ticket here.

12.30pm-6pm [MAIN EVENT] @ Barclays Wealth & Investment Management, Newcastle Quayside

If you’re looking for funding or finance to help start or grow your business, or you’re an investor looking for the next big thing to put your money into – this event is for you.

Barclays Wealth & Investment Managemen

This event will cover a wide range of funding & finance options available to startups & scaleups in the North East including grants, loans, crowdfunding, bids & tenders, angel investors & venture capital plus talks from North East entrepreneurs sharing how they found the right money for their business.
