We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Amber Rae (the New York-based author, artist & storyteller choosing #WonderOverWorry) will be headlining Day 1 of Newcastle Startup Week (aka ‘Inspiration Day’) on Monday 15th May!
I first ‘met’ Amber online when she was Seth Godin’s ‘Chief Evangelist’ for The Domino Project way back in 2011 when I applied for and was chosen to be one of their global ‘Street Team’ members.
I was already a huge fan of Seth but it was really Amber’s creativity, passion and generosity of spirit that was the magic ingredient that kept this geographically remote collection of people highly engaged and excited throughout the project.
Since then, I’ve enjoyed following Amber’s journey of self-fulfillment on Twitter, Instagram and especially Facebook, and continued to be delighted and inspired by just how much she is living life to the full!

She’s easily the most creative person I’ve ever come across but the thing I’m most impressed by is that despite doing many great things that most people would be happy doing just one of, Amber’s not afraid to press the stop button and change direction when something no longer feels right or true to herself.
Not only that but despite being what most people would consider a ‘high achiever’ and ‘having it all’, Amber openly admits that she still struggles with fear and self-doubt that all human beings have from time to time.
She’s now making it her mission to help people around the world ‘Choose Wonder‘ and what better person to do this for you at Newcastle Startup Week than her? I can’t wait to finally meet her in person and hope you will too.
